He was taking the long road. She was taking the road to nowhere. It just so happened that they led to the same place…
When everything falls apart, love remains . . .
THE EDGE OF ALWAYS
Camryn Bennett has never been happier. Five months after meeting on a Greyhound bus, she and her soul mate Andrew Parrish are engaged—and a wedding isn’t the only special event in their future. Nervous but excited, Camryn can’t wait to begin the rest of her life with Andrew – a man she knows in her heart will love her always. They have so much to look forward to—until tragedy blindsides them.
Andrew doesn’t understand how this could happen to them. He’s trying to move on, and thought Camryn was doing the same. But when Andrew discovers Camryn is secretly harboring a mountain of pain and attempting to numb it in damaging ways, there is nothing he won’t do to bring her back to life. Determined to prove that their love can survive anything, Andrew decides to take Camryn on a new journey filled with hope and passion. If only he can convince her to come along for the ride…

Oh wow, was this an emotional read. I couldn't wait to get back into Camryn and Andrew's heads, but I should have known that things wouldn't be easy for them, otherwise, why have a book right? Then they could have just sailed happily in the sunset, and even though of course, I want that for them, that has to be at the end of the book or series.
I really related with Camryn in this one though. The depression and not feeling thing, how she felt like someone was following her around turning a light switch on and off, and putting on the happy and then being drug down. Wow, I mean I feel like that is my life. And I haven't even faced what she did, but it just felt so real and desperate and hopeless at times, which is hard core realistic.
Andrew is so caring and amazing in this one again. And the chemistry and sexual tension between them is amazing to read.
The only complaint I really have is the flow. A lot of time is skipped, and it is kind of abrupt, but I understand the reasoning, and with the time frame covered in this one, it is really the only way it could be done. Well, that and maybe she could have written in just a *few* more hot and steamy scenes ;)
Both of the characters came so far in their personal growth as well as figuring things out for themselves as a couple and family.
The ending was amazingly perfect, and I can still keep playing with the characters in my head, but they got the ending that I so wanted and hoped for them even though I knew that they had to fight and go through so much hardship to get there.

Bottom Line: Emotional ending for characters I love.

My question to you, my lovely readers:
Have you ever hidden pain from others?

    7. I'm just about to jump into this one (well actually I started it got 17% of the way in and put it down). But I am about to jump back into it and I am curious about how I'll like it. It looks like it's going to be an emotional ride and I needed to be in the right frame of mind for it. Thanks for the review Brandi. I am looking forward to this now.
