FIXED: Giveway and Interview: $15 Amazon and The New Agenda by Simone Pond

The New Agenda
The New Agenda by Simone Pond
For certain, society was disintegrating: humans were self-destructive and wildly uncontrolled. But young William Morray had hoped, as an idealistic teenager, that his father’s acclaimed Repatterning Program––a precursor to the brilliant New Agenda––could manage the upheaval and get society back on track.
They said it was for the greater good: out of chaos comes order and from the ashes the phoenix will rise. They said the Repatterning was a positive event, but like most advertising, it was a lie.
William’s wish had always been to work with his father and win his approval. However, when he is sent away to a remote underground safety shelter in Denver, William is awakened to the grisly truth that the Repatterning is a mass genocide. And worse: his father, the New Agenda leader, is the spearhead of this horrifying plan to eradicate all cities, homes and people outside of the Elite citizenship. William decides to team up with an underground rebel alliance to end the Repatterning and save what’s left of civilization.
interview with Blkosiner's Book Blog
--The Twitter version: tell us about your book in 140 characters or less.
The tale of William Morray as he sets out to end the Repatterning & the events that turn him into the City Center's devious Chief Morray.

--How did you get the idea for the story?
As I was writing the first book, The City Center, I was drawn to the character Chief Morray. I wanted to know more about him, so for the second book, The New Agenda, I went back in time to his youth to find out what happened to him that turned him into such a bad guy.

--Which character would you most/least like to have dinner with?
I’d love to have dinner with Dickson. He’s such a sharp dresser and always so serious, but underneath his pristine veneer he’s a romantic at heart.

--Do you have any other works in progress? Any teasers or release dates?
I’m currently working on book three, which will release at the end of the year (hopefully).

--What book(s) is your book’s “cousin”? (Similar kind of read, set-up or style)
A lot of readers compare my book series to The Hunger Games and Divergent. There are similar themes and plots, but I think it’s more similar to The Matrix.

--What are some of your favorite books? Do you still have much time to read?
I love Margaret Atwood’s MaddAddam series. She is one of my favorite authors. I always make time to read. Along with writing, it feeds my soul.

--If a fairy godmother told you could be put into the world of your favorite book for 24 hours, which book would you pick and why?
I’d love to be put into Gone with the Wind, but pre-war. I love the dresses and the male chivalry. I wouldn’t mind being doted on for 24 hours.

--Do you need anything to write (music, coffee, etc)? Are there any songs on your playlist- songs that inspired you or that were playing while you wrote?
I need hot tea, my laptop and music playing. I usually write in my living room, but when I get stuck, I head out to a local coffee shop and get re-inspired.

--If you could have any superpower what would you choose?
I’d love to be able to fly.

--Besides writing, what do you like to do in your free time?
I workout a lot because it clears my head and I get a lot of ideas when I’m running or afterward when I’m stretching.

--What is one thing you would tell your 15 year old self?
Master the art of outlining and when you start a project – finish it.

--Is there anything else you want to add or say to your readers?
I love hearing from my readers. I spend a lot of time alone, so it’s wonderful to hear from people and it’s great to know people appreciate the work.
