Mondays can be miserable… it’s a thing; however this Monday – November 3, 2014 –  will be marvelous since the Morganville Marathon rewatch is happening on Geek & Sundry! Join us (@MV_The_Series) and Rachel Caine on twitter tweeting your reactions and questions with the hashtag: #MorganvilleLive.

Morganville: The Series brings to life Rachel Caine’s Morganville Vampires in a whole new format and sucked in fans rapidly. Over the span of its debut week, the six-episode series has drawn thousands of viewers, with the first episode already surpassing 50K. A feat that gives fans hope for more seasons!

If that weren’t exciting enough, tomorrow’s Morganville Marathon rewatch will include two of the lead actors. Both Jordan Taylor Farris (Shane) and Lindsay Seidel (Claire) will be joining the live tweeting during the day, so you are going to have to follow the hashtag #MorganvilleLive to keep up with all things Morganville: The Series. And you will definitely not want to miss the Amber Benson Skype session giveaway. Morganville: The Series – The show stars fan favorites Robert Picardo as Oliver (Star Trek: Voyager) and Amber Benson (Buffy The Vampire Slayer) as Amelie, as well as Lindsay Seidel (Claire), Jordan Taylor Farris (Shane), Haileigh Todd (Eve), Ben Easter (Michael), Nikki Donley (Hannah), Afomia Hailemeskel (Monica), Jessi Mechler (Gina), Taylor Murphy (Jennifer), Gregory Connors (Brandon) and Chase Ryan Jeffery (Myrnin). It is directed by Blake Calhoun, known for his award-winning and groundbreaking digital series Pink and Continuum, the show was filmed on location in Texas on a Blackmagic camera.

Rachel Caine –  is a fictional character herself … a pen name of writer Roxanne Conrad. Since 2003, Rachel has written in the adult Urban Fantasy genre (the Weather Warden, Outcast Season, Revivalist and Red Letter Days series) as well as in Young Adult fiction (the Morganville Vampires series and award-winning novel Prince of Shadows). She is the author of more than forty novels and many short stories, and is regularly featured in anthology collections, most recently the Charlaine Harris edited Dead But Not Forgotten.

Summary -- Morganville - a brave teen (Claire Danvers) moves to the very isolated West Texas town to attend the local university, only to (a) run afoul of the local mean (very mean) girls, and (b) move to the safety of off-campus housing with three strangers.

But the plot thickens when she discovers that her new housemates aren’t crazy: Morganville really is run by vampires. They own it, and every one in it. And now ... they own her.

  1. The show was pretty cheesy, but I liked it! I read the books ages ago (the first several) and really enjoyed them!
