Author Interview: Oracle: Sunken Earth by C.W. Trisef

Oracle: Sunken Earth by C.W. Trisef
Fall, current day, Atlantic Ocean. Another hurricane tears through the Bahamas, headed for Florida. Among the wreckage: a U.S. Coast Guard rescue boat, one survivor (Ret Cooper), and a spherical object of curious design (the Oracle).
Ret Cooper is a simple young man with mysterious origins, unique physical features, and no memory of his past. His new family and friends discover he is truly extraordinary, with supernatural powers and strange scars on the palms of his hands. But what is his destiny?
The Oracle is the key to Earth's unity and full potential, too perfect to be man-made. Legend claims it can unleash limitless power when filled with Mother Nature's six, pure, original elements. But where are these elements? And which of our planet's ancient secrets will be explained in the process of locating them?
The first book from new author C.W. Trisef will have you cheering for Ret as he travels a submerged road, discovers a lost city, climbs an electrifying mountain, and begins to unravel the mystery of the Oracle ... all during his first year of high school.

interview with Blkosiner's Book Blog

--Tell us about your book in 140 words or less.
“Oracle – Sunken Earth” is book 1 in the planned 7-book Oracle series.  Book 2 “Oracle – Fire Island” has also just been released.  The series is about a teenage boy named Ret Cooper who cautiously undertakes the daunting task of “curing the world” with a spherical ball of curious design called the Oracle.  The Oracle has six unique markings on it.  Ret has the same six markings on the palms of his hands, which individually lead him to our planet’s most ancient secrets.  These world mysteries guard Mother Nature’s six pure, original elements, which Ret must collect and place inside the Oracle.  Ret’s knowledge grows and his powers increase with each element collected.  The series is good, wholesome adventure, packed with humor, intrigue, and even a little innocent romance.
--How did you get the idea for the story?
I have always been fascinated by our planet’s ancient secrets, so that was certainly the genesis for the series.  The world mysteries in book 1 are the Bermuda Triangle, the Lost City of Atlantis, and the Bimini Road.  The world mysteries in book 2 are the Nazca Lines, Machu Picchu, and Easter Island.  My website (www.trisefbook.com) explains each world mystery in greater detail.  I like to think that the Oracle series is an impressive blend of fact and fiction, based on real places and substantiated theories.  I believe that a great story not only entertains but also educates, thus the unique writing style.
--Do you have any other works in progress?  Any teasers or release dates?
Yes, several projects.  My first is to finish the Oracle series.  It is a planned 7-book series, with 2 already released, 1 coming in 2013, and then 4 more in subsequent years.  So the Oracle series project will keep me busy into the foreseeable future.  Beyond that, I have another epic book series planned, but it will be a 3-4 book series, not 7 like the Oracle series.
--Is there anything else you want to add or say to your readers?
To all the writers:  don’t get discouraged, keep going!  It is a great feeling to see hard work in book form.  To all the readers:  keep reading (and dreaming)!  And to everyone out there:  check out my website (www.trisefbook.com) and/or shoot me an email (trisefbook@gmail.com) if I can help in any way.  J

  8. The book sounds good and I like the interview with the author. I am curious though because there are only 2 of the 7 books out right now, what the turn around time is for the additional books in this series is? I often get impatient when it comes to series that take a long time in between releases.
