Waiting on Wednesday

Waiting On Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted over at Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating. I also feature books that may have already released, but I am anxiously waiting to read.

This week, I'm featuring:
Tumble & Fall

A novel about the end of days full of surprising beginnings
The world is living in the shadow of oncoming disaster. An asteroid is set to strike the earth in just one week’s time; catastrophe is unavoidable. The question isn’t how to save the world—the question is, what to do with the time that's left? Against this stark backdrop, three island teens wrestle with intertwining stories of love, friendship and family—all with the ultimate stakes at hand.
Alexandra Coutts's TUMBLE & FALL is a powerful story of courage, love, and hope at the end of the world.

Releases: September 17th 2013 by Farrar, Straus and Giroux (BYR)
What are you waiting on?

  18. I like that this is a different sort of end-of-the-world book. It reminds me a bit of the movie Finding a Friend for the End of the World (or something similar...)

  21. This sounds like a really nail-biting, interesting story. Seems like there will be some good romance with the 'surprising beginnings' that were mentioned. Hope you get to read it soon! Jaclyn @ JC's Book Haven.

  24. Wow, sounds interesting! I'm not sure I've seen a book with this premise (i.e. world ending, but the fight isn't to save it).

  25. I'm actually in the minority with this one. Not one I've wanted and I suspect I will regret it. I am thinking too much hype. I hope you get it and find out I must then eat my words. ;)

  26. Ooh I'm so excited for this one! I love that it's pre-apocalypse, so many books focus on post-disaster. Great pick :-)

  27. I've been seeing this one a lot lately and it sounds very interesting. To see how these characters live their last week on a doomed earth. That would suck! LOL Thanks for stopping by!
