What I haven't read and know it

Anything Ally Carter

Here are some that I didn't read until recently but are pretty high up there on entertainment
So that's why I want to know what else I might be missing? What are some must reads in the YA genre for you?

ReplyDeleteHm..can't say cos in the end you have read more than I
ReplyDeleteWow I seem to be doing really well on this must read lists because I read all the books on your list as well! Haha :p I read Percy Jackson when I was a kid and the storyline may not appeal to older audiences, but I still love it for the fun plot and amazing world. I also had a phase where I was obsessed with Wicked Lovely, so I'll definitely rec' that one, although I know that one is for more literary/character-oriented readers. It's a bit darker than most YA like Paranormalcy, which is just fun and entertaining. The Host and Blue Bloods were both good reads, but I didn't like them as much as PJ or WL.
ReplyDeleteI have to reiterate this, but I need to read more of Rainbow Rowell, and pretty much most well known contemporary authors. I tend to avoid contemporary, so hopefully I get better.

I enjoyed the first Percy Jackson book but I didn't rush out to read the rest. I do own several of the other books in the series, and I want to read the 2nd book before I get around to watching the 2nd movie, but they weren't super fantastic for me. But I did really enjoy The Host, way more than the Twilight series. And I've only read one book by Ally Carter (Heist Society) but I LOVED it and I can't believe I haven't read more of her books. This is a cool idea for a post--there are tons of books that I haven't read (Like Shatter Me) that it seems like everyone has read.
