Giveaway: Impostor by Susanne Winnacker

Impostor (Variants #1) by Susanne Winnacker
Tessa is a Variant, able to absorb the DNA of anyone she touches and mimic their appearance. Shunned by her family, she’s spent the last two years training with the Forces with Extraordinary Abilities, a secret branch of the FBI.
When a serial killer rocks a small town in Oregon, Tessa is given a mission: she must impersonate Madison, a local teen, to find the killer before he strikes again.
Tessa hates everything about being an impostor—the stress, the danger, the deceit—but loves playing the role of a normal girl. As Madison, she finds friends, romance, and the kind of loving family she’d do anything to keep.
Amid action, suspense, and a ticking clock, this super-human comes to a very human conclusion: even a girl who can look like anyone struggles the most with being herself.

  1. Thanks for the giveaway; sounds a like a super read.

  2. This sounds like a YA version of Tana French's The Likeness (which was excellent!) with a neat supernatural twist. Cool premise!

  3. Thanks for the chance at winning. I like the concept behind this one, not to mention the cover.

  4. Thanks so much for the giveaway. I am very interested in this one.

  5. Great giveaway. This is one that I can't wait to read. :D

  6. I was so tempted to request this on NG but I refrained as I am so buried in books. I think it sounds like a good read!

  7. This is something I want to read. It sounds like a great concept and I just saw that this has been optioned for TV. Sounds like a show I'd watch

  8. This sounds like such a great story! I'm already wondering who Madison is and where she is that she can take over being her. Did she die? How can she fake it with the family? Is Madison in on this scheme? Is Tessa the only one that has these capabilities? What are the other special talents people have in the FBI? Such a cool concept!

  9. This sounds like such an interesting concept! I agree with Kat, it sounds a lot like Tana French's book, which is excellent. :-)

  10. Ooohh I am DYING to read this book!! It sounds so good!! Thank you for another amazing and generous giveaway!!!
