Beyond your blog!
I haven't really gotten any special opportunities besides the books, which I love. I guess though I would have never had so much correspondence with authors and realized how down to earth they are, and how open they are to their readers.
I don't think I would have put any more effort into my own writing if I wouldn't have found blogs that blew life into my love for reading, and for characters.
