I know that there are several memes going around about getting to know the blogger outside of books, but I am doing it because Lexxie from (Un)Conventional Book Views feature Up Close and (un)Conventional.
So, the first thing that you should know about me is that I am a family woman. I am a stay at home mom, and I love my girls, Katie and Jillian. I am married to Allan and we've celebrated 7 years of marriage.
This is me with Katie, my oldest, my mom and my grandma. My mom lives with us now, and has since my dad passed. I grew up with my grandma and she was on of my favorite people ever. She would listen to me, pray for me, make me food, and always encouraged my love of reading.
We LOVE disney. We usually go 2x a year and are Disney Vacation Club members and season pass holders. The halloween party is one of our favorite events at Disney
This is Jillian, she loves smiling for the camera and playing outside. She is funny and loves to cuddle.
This is Katie. She is mischievous and has a huge imagination. She likes to make people laugh and is a little social butterfly
This is both of my girls a couple of months ago. They are 2 and 5. They usually get along well and love playing together.
My question: Do you have kids? How old?
Also, if there is anything else you want to know about me outside of books, let me know and I will do another post soon.
You have a beautiful family, Brandi! I don't have kids, but I just got married last month, so ask me again this time next year. LOL
ReplyDeleteThank you and congrats on being newly wed!!
ReplyDeleteN'awww, Katie and Jillian are so cute. They really look like you (I know people say that, but they do). I don't have any kids but my cousin has two boys, Blake and Parker (both under 10), who are so cutely mischievous it's ridiculous, haha. Congrats on 7 years together! :)
ReplyDeleteBrandi, these are some very special pictures of your family! The first one with your mom, your grandma and Katie is so precious. I have one like that with one of my grandmothers as well and treasure it because I have very few of those. I have two sweet daughters and celebrated +20 years with my hubby last year :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing, Brandi :)
THank you! We have compared my baby pics with theirs and it is so neat to see how similar. Your cousins sound like a lot of fun to be around
ReplyDeleteI too love the generations pictures. I just wish she could have met my littest Jillian.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the 20+
Nice getting to know you better :)
ReplyDeleteI do not have any kids, just me, BF and our cat
You have a beautiful family, Brandi. It's great to know a bit of yourself outside the book world. :)
ReplyDeletefun post. I like seeing the blogger behind the blog! My siblings were all there years apart too, like your girls...I think it's a nice distance. My brother is 6 years older than me and my sister is 3. we all get along well.

AH y'all are all so adorable. I am jealous about the Disney vacations, seeing the park at Halloween sounds like a total blast. I love getting to see all the pictures. Your girls look and sound like such a pleasure to have around. I have 1 son named Zane. He's 11 and means the whole world to me. Jaclyn @ JC's Book Haven.
ReplyDeleteAww you're so adorable. You little girls are so cute. I'm so happy they get along as it's usually that siblings fight all the time. I'm sure that they are taking great care of each other. I don't have kids, to answer your question. :) It's just me, my mom and dad :)
ReplyDeleteAww your kids are so adorable! The picture of your eldest meeting her baby sister for the first time is just too cute. To answer your question, I don't have kids. Anyway, it was nice to get to know more about you and your family!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
ReplyDeleteThey fight sometimes, but usually are pretty good with each other
ReplyDeleteOh Disney at Halloween is the best!
ReplyDeleteAw, that is a handsome name
Yay, lots of hope to hear for their future.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds peaceful, unless kitty is mischevious.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely adore the picture of you with your daughter, your mom and your grandma! That is so awesome that you have a four-generation picture to share with your kids later on :) And thanks for using me as inspiration for this post!
ReplyDeleteIt's always wonderful to learn more about my favorite bloggers, and this post is really great. I wish I had season passes for all of us at Disney, too :) The kids would definitely love it!
Have a fantastic Friday, Brandi.
I love learning about bloggers outside of just reading and stuff. I think we all get to know each other pretty well and it's nice to be able to imagine their real lives. So thank you for sharing with us!
