I had a scare this morning. I was commenting on blogs and all the sudden it signed me out and took me to a screen that said "We've detected suspicious activity on your account, please verify.
I tried to look at my book blog and also the personal one for my girls, and it said your blog cannot be found... WHAT??
My heart dropped and I panicked.
Luckily I was able to get a verification code and everything was restored... But now I am backing up the blogs. It's an easy step, and you should do it to make sure you can restore your site.
Under settings, go to other and click export blog.
Under template, say back/up and restore.
Do this often.
I am setting a calendar reminder to back up once a week now.
There are other tools that you can use to back up your blog like Blogger Backup Utility, but it is slow to run. I use it too, but don't run as often as I should.
